High-quality and accessible primary care saves lives and leads to healthier people and communities. Primary care is essential to a strong and equitable health care system, yet it continues to be undervalued and underfunded—especially in communities of color and low-income and rural communities.

In 2023, Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC), Milbank Memorial Fund, and The Commonwealth Fund brought together stakeholders aiming to increase investment in primary care at the state level into a multistate network to share resources, discuss challenges, and learn from one another’s successes.
