Join the Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) on Wednesday, May 14th, to celebrate the newly released Primary Care County Data Explorer for New York. The webinar will demonstrate the features of the tool by Angela Allard, MPH, Research & Evaluation Manager, followed by a panel discussion about the relevance of these data to policymakers and clinicians and how these data demonstrate the critical need to increase investment in primary care.
The panel discussion will feature Jordan Goldberg, JD, PCDC’s Director of Policy, in conversation with Eric Gayle, MD, incoming CEO of The Institute for Family Health, and Thomas Green, Ed.D., Chief Operating Officer at Jordan Health, two leading Federally Qualified Health Centers in New York State.
PCDC has just released an interactive online tool that allows users to explore the state of primary care in their New York county and highlights the significant geographic disparities in workforce, access, performance, and health outcomes at the county level. This effort builds on PCDC’s New York State Primary Care Scorecard, launched in 2024, which presented data about primary care in New York and highlighted the barriers, including cost and a shortage of primary care providers, that currently exist in the state, as well as highlighting the significant racial and ethnic disparities in primary care-related health outcomes.
