Once HIV negative clients have been linked to prevention services, the next step is to engage them in these services, and support those who have been connected to remain in care. Optimal engagement in prevention services “include incorporating not only PrEP drugs, but also HIV testing, safety screening, behavioral interventions addressing adherence and risk behavior, and long-term monitoring.”1 Oftentimes, this is where service providers struggle the most as their clients deal with daily challenges of life.
The following resources can help health care providers engage patients with PrEP and/or other prevention services.
