Engaging individuals in HIV testing, prevention, and care is the first step in implementing the HIV continuum of care. While there has been progress, challenges including stigma, homophobia, and flawed perception of risk still remain. Effective social marketing is an important tool for reducing new HIV infections and HIV-related morbidity and mortality. This webinar will discuss the steps to develop an effective social marketing strategy that is creative, culturally sensitive, and based on the needs of individuals and communities. By the end of the webinar participants will be able to:

  • Describe how social marketing can support patient engagement in HIV prevention services within clinical settings
  • Identify considerations for conducting effective social marketing within the context of HIV prevention
  • Identify ways in which free CPN capacity building assistance (CBA) support could benefit your HIV prevention programs and/or service delivery model
