PCDC CEO Louise Cohen has been named among the Notable Women in Health Care by Crain’s New York Business.
The inaugural list honors 78 executives, researchers, and clinicians “who have had a profound impact through work in their careers and in their communities,” according to Crain’s.
“The Primary Care Development Corp. plays a key role in expanding and strengthening
the primary care safety net. Louise Cohen is a national advocate for the 27 million
Americans who rely on federally qualified health centers for their care,” Crain’s notes in a summary of her leadership (page 14).
Health care journalist Barbara Benson and other high-profile judges selected finalists based on a combination of professional achievements, community service, track record of mentoring others, and promotion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
