The first Innovation Circle was held on December 16, 2011 and featured a presentation from Karen Ignagni, President & CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans. The discussion among the 25 executives also encouraged a discussion and exchange of ideas about ideas and models for containing costs in the healthcare system through innovative payment methods, provider incentives and partnerships. The discussion was also facilitated by New York State Health Commissioner, Nirav Shah, MD.

A second Innovation Circle is planned for April 2012, and will focus on "Private Sector Investment in Primary Care: Challenges, Opportunities and Models."
