East New York Goes Dental

PCDC in the News, Crain's Health Pulse, September 24, 2012

The Primary Care Development Corp. has provided $500,000 in funding for a 2,200-square-foot dental clinic in East New York, Brooklyn. The Brownsville Multi-Service Family Health Center will use the money to renovate the site in Genesis Homes, a complex that houses 150 formerly homeless and low-income families. The dental center will also draw patients from other nearby housing complexes. The neighborhood has long had a shortage of dentists. The facility will be staffed and run by BMS Dental, which has a facility on Rockaway Avenue in nearby Brownsville that treats more than 8,000 patients annually.
