Director, Performance Improvement

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful practice director will play a key leadership role in expanding the reach, capabilities, management and reputation of the Performance Improvement Practice and is expected to:

  • Identify, negotiate and secure new business opportunities
  • Structure, launch and manage projects, and ensure quality outcomes
  • Identify and develop leading edge products and services based on current market trends
  • Pilot and launch new products and services including pricing and delivery models
  • Assemble, manage and evaluate project consult teams
  • Develop staff capabilities and competencies
  • Cultivate existing and prospective clients
  • Foster and maintain alliance partnership networks and professional affiliations
  • Raise and maintain company's public profile, reputation and stature
  • Advance and support PCDC public policy and advocacy role


Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10 years of post-graduate experience in Health care management consulting or project management and administration including budgeting and fiscal management; Product development; Business development; Department and staff management; Program portfolio management
  • Demonstrated leadership and expertise in one or more of the following: Clinical quality improvement; Strategic plan development and realization; Business process improvement; Organizational development; Programmatic and technical knowledge of primary care operations and systems
  • In public healthcare settings, extensive programmatic and technical knowledge of Health care operations; Clinical service delivery; Information management; Performance improvement methods


Education and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in public health or related discipline, or equivalent experience in the community health field.
  • At least five years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience structuring and building high-performance teams departments of a least 15-20 staff a must.
  • A demonstrated track record in business development, fundraising and proposal/grant writing and management.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative and working relationship skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Mature and extensive business and professional network.
  • Quantitative and qualitative evaluation, analysis and measurement skills.
  • Analytical and creative thought leadership.
  • Professional certifications and publications.
